Light and Peace museum

Permanent audiovisual exhibition

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre

ABU DHABI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES,  2024

XYZ Technologies was honored to be selected to contribute to the creation of the prestigious Light and Peace Museum at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre in Abu Dhabi, an immersive space at the intersection of spirituality, culture, and technological innovation.

Our teams in Dubai and Montreal, in collaboration with our partner Barker Langham, delivered the complete experience, from design and concept development to equipment supply, system integration, and advanced control solutions, all aimed at crafting a multisensory, seamless, and accessible visitor journey.

The museum is divided into five distinct zones, including a room designed for visually impaired visitors with tactile and augmented reality equipment, an interactive exploration space (the Treasure Hunter Room), and an immersive table for collective interactions. Each zone integrates dynamic audiovisual content, intuitive tactile interfaces, and centralized iPad-based control systems, ensuring technical and narrative coherence across the exhibition.

Description

This mandate builds on a previous collaboration between XYZ and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre during the temporary exhibition Andalusia: History and Civilisation.

Guided by a sustainable approach, several existing components were creatively repurposed and adapted to meet the new requirements of the museum’s layout.

By combining logistical precision, technical innovation, and creative vision, this project once again demonstrates our team’s ability to deliver immersive environments that meet the highest international standards.
